Signing in
Sign in with a code from your email, with no password to remember, and sign out anywhere you’ve left yourself signed in.
Gillie has no passwords. You type your email address and we email you a code. Everyone in your business signs in this way, each with their own email.
- Go to Sign in, type your email and tap Continue with email.
- Open the email from Gillie. Its subject starts with your code.
- Type the 6-digit code on the Check your email page. Or tap the button in the email, then Sign in.
Now and then, before it sends the code, Gillie shows a box to tick to show you’re a person. The code goes as soon as you tick it.
The code and the button work once, and only for a few minutes. If yours has run out, tap send a new code. The new code replaces the old one.
Gillie keeps you signed in on each phone and computer until you sign out. To sign out, tap the round button with your initials at the top of any page, then Sign out.
The email doesn’t come
Check your spam folder. If we think you’ve mistyped your address, we ask Did you mean and offer Send the code there. To try another address, tap Use a different email.
If Gillie says it couldn’t check this browser, try again. If it keeps saying so, try another browser.
A code or link doesn’t work
Check the code, or send a new one. After a lot of wrong codes in one day, typed codes stop working until the next day, but the button in the email still signs you in.
If a sign-in link has run out or was already used, type your email again for a new one.
Someone else signed in as you
When you sign in on a phone or computer you haven’t used Gillie on before, we email you with the device and the time. If it was you, there’s nothing to do.
If it wasn’t you, tap Sign out everywhere in that email, then Sign out everywhere again to confirm. Everyone signed in as you is signed out, on every phone and computer. The button works for a few days. Then change your email password, because anyone who can read your email can sign in to Gillie.
Sign out on your other devices
Lost a phone, or signed in on someone else’s computer? Sign out everywhere except where you are now.
- Tap the round button with your initials, then Your account. Or go to Settings, then Your account. On a phone, Settings is under More.
- Under Other devices, tap Sign out other devices.
Signing out everywhere, from here or from the email, also stops your private calendar link. Add your calendar to your calendar app again afterwards.
Join a business you’ve been added to
When someone adds you to their business, we email you a link to sign in. It works once, for a few days. After that, sign in with your email like anyone else.
The first time you sign in, Gillie says what you’ll do in the business. Tap the button to join. If it isn’t what you expected, tap Start my own business instead. You leave that business and get one of your own, with the same email.
Teams come with Pro. See your team for what each person can do, and what happens if the business leaves Pro.
Still stuck, or something here looks wrong? Email [email protected] and you’ll hear back from a person.
