Notifications
See what’s happened in your business lately, from bookings and requests to reviews and disputes, under the bell at the top of every page.
The bell at the top of every page in Gillie shows what’s happened in your business lately: new bookings and requests, cancellations, payments, reviews, messages and anything Gillie or Stripe needs you to know. Nothing changes for anglers, and the emails you get carry on as before.
Check your notifications
- Tap the bell at the top of any page. The number on it is how many you haven’t read.
- Tap All to see the ones you’ve read too, as the list opens on Unread. Tap Everything and pick a kind like Bookings to see just that. Only the kinds you have show in the list.
- Tap a notification to open the booking, review or page it’s about. It counts as read.
- Tap Mark all as read, above your new ones, to clear the number.
Anything still waiting on you says by when, like a request to book or a disputed payment.
What shows here
Everything Gillie emails you about your business shows here too. A few things only show here: someone joining a date’s waiting list, places opening for a waiting list, and someone joining your business or choosing not to.
Sign-in codes and emails about your own account don’t show here.
Who sees what
Each person in your business has their own notifications, and reading yours doesn’t read anyone else’s. Owners and admins see everything. Guides who run their own dates see the bookings, requests and waiting lists for their dates. See your team for who can do what.
How long they’re kept
Notifications go after 30 days, read or not. Your bookings, reviews and customers stay where they are.
We keep only what happened and which booking, review or date it was about. Names and words are read from the booking or review each time you open the bell, so when you delete a customer, their name and any review go from your notifications too.
Still stuck, or something here looks wrong? Email [email protected] and you’ll hear back from a person.
