Start here/Close your business

Close your business

Stop for good, with 30 days to change your mind before everything is deleted.

If you’re stopping guiding, or moving off Gillie, you can close your business. Your website goes offline straight away, so anglers can’t find it or book. Anglers who already have a link to a booking can still open it.

Close your business

Only the owner can do this.

  1. Go to Settings, then Your business.
  2. At the end of the page, tap Close business.
  3. Read what happens, then tap Close business again.

What happens next?

  • Your website is offline, and nothing in Gillie can be changed. You can still sign in and look.
  • Gillie Pro stops at the end of the time you’ve paid for, so nothing more is charged.
  • We email you now, and again a few days before everything is deleted.
  • 30 days after you close, we delete your trips, bookings, customers, photos and team for good. This can’t be undone.

Your Stripe account is yours, not Gillie’s. It stays open, with everything you were paid.

Changed your mind?

Until the day it’s deleted, every page in Gillie shows “Your business is closed”. Tap Reopen and your website is back online straight away.

Pro doesn’t restart by itself. To keep it, go to Settings, then Plan and billing.

Why can’t I close yet?

Anglers who still need you come first. You can’t close while:

  • a booking is still to come. Cancel it first, or wait until the trip is over.
  • an angler is still owed a refund. Once it’s gone back, you can close.
  • someone is booking right now. Try again in a few minutes.

The page tells you which one it is.

Still stuck, or something here looks wrong? Email [email protected] and you’ll hear back from a person.
