Adding a trip and dates
Set up a trip once, say when it runs, and anglers can book its dates on your website.
A trip is what anglers book: a boat session, a shore lesson, a day on the river. You describe it once and say when it runs, and each time it runs is a date anglers can book. A new trip is a draft that only you can see until you publish it.
Add a trip
Only the owner or an admin can add or change trips. Everyone else on your team can see them.
- Go to Trips and tap New trip. On a phone, Trips is under More.
- Give it a Trip name and pick the kind it’s closest to: Boat trip, Shore or bank session or Private guided day.
- Tap Create trip.
- Fill in each part and tap Save and continue, or Skip for now to come back to it.
- On the last part, tap Publish trip.
The kind you pick fills in the usual length, group size and first price, which you can change. A new trip also starts on the price list and booking terms marked for new trips.
Once a trip is published, changes show on your website as soon as you save them.
What a trip needs before it’s published
A trip needs a price, and your business needs a name, which gives it a website. Everything else can come later. Before it goes live, under Publish, lists what’s left. The trip’s dates open for booking as soon as it’s published.
Say when it runs
Anglers can only book once a trip has dates. Under When it runs, pick one:
- On a repeat: the same days each week. Pick the days and the Start times. Each start time is booked on its own. Under Season, choose All year or Some months.
- On set dates: pick each date on the calendar, and the time it starts.
- Over several days: for a fishing holiday. Pick how many nights, the day each stay starts and when anglers arrive.
Then choose How far ahead can anglers book? A repeat keeps adding dates as time goes on.
To change it later, tap Change how it runs. Dates that already have bookings never disappear. If one no longer fits, it still goes ahead for the anglers on it, and nobody else can book it.
Change a single date
Changes to one date happen on the Calendar. From When it runs, tap Change a single day on the calendar.
- To run the trip on an extra day, tap the day, then Run a trip this day too.
- Tap a date to set Where you meet or, with a team, the Guide.
- Tap Stop bookings to stop anyone booking it, and Take bookings again to open it back up.
- Tap Remove to take away an extra date nobody has booked.
If the weather turns on a booked date, call it off.
Share a trip only with anglers you choose
Some trips are for a few anglers, like a session you share in a WhatsApp group. Once the trip is published, turn off Show on your website. It can still be booked, but only by anglers you send the link to.
Trips lists these under Not on your website. Tap Copy link in the trip’s menu to share it. If the link gets passed around too far, tap Make a new link under Publish. The old link stops working, and anglers already booked keep their bookings.
For a Book button on a website of your own, pick Straight to booking above the link under Publish. That link opens the trip’s dates and checkout on their own.
Take a trip off your website
To take a trip down for a while, tap Move to drafts. It keeps the same address if you publish it again.
When you stop running a trip for good, tap Archive trip at the foot of Publish. It leaves your trips and your website, and its dates stop taking bookings. If anglers are booked on dates to come, call those dates off first.
